First United Methodist Church of Jefferson is participating in National Back to Church Sunday next Sunday, Sept. 7.
“After a busy summer, families and singles are invited to breakfast, Sunday school and worship on Sept 7. Start the fall off right with Christian fellowship,” said pastor Julie Poulsen. “If you don’t have a church home and are looking for a place for the whole family, please check us out! We have great programs for children and youth. We welcome you no matter what your background is. You matter to God and to us!”
The morning will start at 8:30 with a free breakfast for the entire family. Sunday school for all ages begins at 9 am, as well as tours of the church for newcomers and cookies and conversation. Coffee time continues until worship at 10:30. Nursery care will be provided.
Dress is casual and children are welcome. “We invite you to bring your family to church where you can find a solid foundation and positive values,” Poulsen said.
